It is India’s first sound and light show produced by a non-governmental private organisation. The show conducted every evening at the magnificent Manek Chowk in The City Palace of Udaipur. It brings alive the rich history of the House of Mewar for domestic and foreign visitors.
The show has been created to spread awareness, interest and pride in the history of Mewar that stretches back to 1500 years. The 12 episodes in the show narrative traces 16 centuries of history that includes the foundation of Mewar by Bappa Rawal, the glory of Rani Padmini and Chittorgarh, the story of Mughal emperor Humayun and Rani Karmavati, the story of Pannadhai who sacrificed her own son for the safety of Prince Udai Singh and the battle of Haldi Ghati.
The show in hindi titled Yash ki Dharohar has the script written by the official court-poet of the House of Mewar Pandit Narendra Mishra. The show in english titled as The Legacy of Honour.
